Benson To Rehab

Kris Benson has opted for a strenuous rehabilitation program instead of surgery for his partially torn right rotator cuff.

There is some disagreement among the medical opinions that Benson has sought, and surgery might wind up being the only viable option to get him back on the mound this year. For now, the injured right-hander is willing to see if he can at least salvage part of the 2007 season, so stay tuned to see if he’ll warrant a free agent pickup down the road.
