Gibson: Diamonbacks New Bench Coach

Kirk Gibson is the Arizona Diamondbacks new bench coach. How is that fantasy related? It is not, did I mention I am a Tigers fan? Who can forget his historic home runs--the fist pumping Roy Hobbs like homer with the Dodgers in 1988 and the homer off Goose Gossage in the 1984 World Series ("He doesn't want to walk you"--Sparky).

In 1995, I was helping Gibson's boy find "back to school" shoes while I was working at the Oakland Mall (Troy, MI) Kids Footlocker, and he signed an autograph for me (I was surprised because he was with his family). Thanks Gibby, for helping make 84 a memorable year for us Tiger fans.
