Cardinals: Starting rotation is set

The Cardinals starting rotation has been set with Kip Wells, Anthony Reyes, Adam Wainwright and Braden Looper set to follow ace Chris Carpenter. This means Brad Thompson and Ryan Franklin, who each threw multiple-inning outings this spring, will start the year in the bullpen. Owners will want to keep an eye on Thompson, as he likely will be the primary setup man for closer Jason Isringhausen.
