Wright: Power Numbers Should Rise In 2007

Mets 3B David Wright went 1-for-2 with two runs and two walks during Sunday's spring game against the Cardinals. He is now 13-for-40 (.325) with six runs, one double, one homer and four RBI in 14 spring games. Wright showed everyone during last year's home run derby the type of power potential he brings to the dish. He hit .311 with 26 homers, 116 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 2006 and his numbers are only expected to get better. He will be off draft boards early.
