Loe scratched due to neck and back spasms

The Rangers scratched pitcher Kameron Loe from Thursday's start against the Angels because of spasms in his neck and back. The big right-hander first felt pain while stretching during a workout Wednesday. Loe has had an impressive spring with three unearned runs and eight hits allowed over 13 2/3 innings, but he’ll jeopardize his chances of claiming the fifth spot in the starting rotation if he misses an extended period of time. The other candidates for the final spot are Bruce Chen (0.77 ERA) and Jamey Wright (4.63 ERA).
