Hirsh designated as Rockies No.4 starter

Rockies manager Clint Hurdle designated Jason Hirsh his No. 4 man on Tuesday behind Aaron Cook, Jeff Francis and Rodrigo Lopez. Hirsh had awful numbers in his debut, but we assure you: This 6-foot-8, 250-pounder is a horse the Astros will regret giving up on so soon. He went 13-2 with a 2.10 ERA in 23 starts and 137 1/3 Triple-A innings. The numbers match the hype, a rarity in the prospect business. Hirsh is a big-time sleeper for Fantasy owners in his first full season, especially behind a potent Rockies offense and with the humidor still water-logging baseballs. You could be drafting the NL ROY here (he didn't lose eligibility).
