Young Will Compete With Lee For Nationals 1B Job

The Nationals reassigned first Dmitri Young to Major League camp. With Larry Broadway having been demoted and Nick Johnson on the shelf, Young will compete with defensive specialist Travis Lee for the starting first-base job. The "loser" will not make the Opening Day roster, as the Nationals have already tabbed the versatile Robert Fick as their backup at first. Johnson is expected to return from his leg injury some time in June.
