Benson Will Miss 2007 Season

Kris Benson cut short a month-long strengthening program a week ahead of schedule Wednesday and has decided to have season-ending surgery on his partially torn rotator cuff. Though the date of the surgery has yet to be determined, the 32-year-old Benson plans to be ready for Spring Training next February.
